Their Technical Project Engineers play a pivotal role in implementing IT services across various environments, ensuring high-quality, well-designed, and robust solutions. Due to business growth, we're helping them find a Technical Projects Engineer.
What You'll be Doing
Established 15 years ago, the Technical Projects team are the cream of the crop, the A-team that transforms vision into reality. They implement the innovative solutions designed by Presales and sold by the sales team, ensuring the highest quality of delivery.
You'll be the bridge between concept and reality, ensuring clients receive top-tier service that meet and exceed expectations.
What You'll Need
We are seeking a very safe pair of hands. A self-starter with a solid foundation in IT and adept at the following:
- Technical Excellence: Deep understanding and implementation of IT infrastructure (on-prem servers and cloud), networking principles (TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP), along with expertise in backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Vendor Proficiency: Configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networking equipment and server solutions across vendors like VMWare NSX, Pure Storage, Checkpoint, Cisco, and NetScaler.
- Problem Solving: Quick diagnosis and resolution of technical issues, leveraging analytical skills to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Adaptability: Staying ahead through continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Collaboration: Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals, coordinating with engineers, technicians, and project managers.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Ensuring solutions are documented and supportable, adhering to quality assurance processes to meet performance and security standards.
- Client Engagement: Direct involvement with clients through on-site project delivery and consultancy services, aiding in architecture and design with Presales and stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience:
- GCSEs in Maths, English, and ICT, with technical certifications (Microsoft Associate, Cisco CCNA, etc.).
- 2+ years as a Technical Engineer, with substantial experience in networking/server infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with teams and clients.
Personal Characteristics:
- A commitment to excellence in service, a proactive approach, and a willingness to engage in continuous learning.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- A clean driving license, as client site visits are an essential part of the role.
Other Requirements:
- Car owner with clean UK driving license.
- Must be cleared to work in the UK and have been a UK resident for 5+ years.
- Security vetting and Police questionnaire to be completed as a condition of employment.
