We usually respond within a day
🚀 Looking for a role where every day brings something different?
If you’re a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and keeping things running smoothly, this could be your perfect next step.
We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join a supportive, fast-paced team providing on-site technical support across a range of school environments. From setting up new devices and resolving user issues to maintaining reliable classroom tech, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping systems – and lessons – running without a hitch.
This role combines variety, independence, and people interaction – ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys seeing the impact of what they do.
🧰 What you’ll do
Your days will be diverse and hands-on, including:
- Delivering 1st and 2nd line technical support on-site across multiple locations
- Troubleshooting Windows devices, Chromebooks, printers, and AV/classroom technology
- Providing clear, friendly support to staff and students face-to-face
- Logging and managing support tickets in coordination with the wider service desk team
- Working with suppliers and third parties to resolve escalated issues
- Carrying out site audits and identifying opportunities for improvement
No two days will look the same – and that’s what keeps it interesting.
🙌 What we’re looking for
We’re after someone who’s confident, adaptable, and enjoys working directly with end users. You’ll need to have:
- Solid experience in on-site IT support (around 3+ years)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft technologies – Windows 11, Microsoft 365, etc.
- Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V
- A calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
💡 Nice to have
You don’t need all of these, but they’ll help you get up to speed faster:
- Previous experience providing IT support within schools or other education settings
- Understanding of Group Policy and mobile device management (MDM)
- Knowledge of backup systems, Azure services, and virtualisation
- Networking experience – VLANs, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls
- Familiarity with tools such as Autotask, Datto, or equivalent platforms
- A genuine curiosity for new tech and emerging IT solutions
🌟 Why join?
This is a chance to join a team that values initiative and collaboration in equal measure. You’ll have plenty of autonomy in your day-to-day work, backed by people who want to see you succeed.
You’ll also:
- Expand your technical knowledge across a broad stack
- Work in varied environments and see the real-world impact of your support
- Access ongoing training and career development opportunities
- Be part of a workplace that encourages ideas and personal growth
If you’re reliable, personable, and ready for a role where you can make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
